[ Calzonie Pizza ]

One night, the Hubs and I felt like pizza. But instead of a boring, lay flat with only 1 source of cheese pizza, we decided to switch things up and make it a little crazier!

So, how do you make this amazing, calzone-looking pizza? Well, let me tell you!

  1. Mix up your favorite pizza crust (preferably from premixed bag)
  2. Rolled shredded cheese into the crust
  3. Top with homemade pizza sauce (tomato sauce + italian seasoning + parmesean cheese)
  4. Top that with cheese
  5. Bake
  6. Eat
  7. Enjoy

[ Its The Most Wonderful Time ]

There's something refreshing and exciting about the changing of seasons. I'm the type of person that is always looking forward to the next thing, I struggle to live in present, which is a whole different can of worms. HOWEVER, the changing of the seasons is something that I love. Especially fall, considering it is so short and leads into the 2 best holidays of the entire year: My Birthday & Christmas. Yes, both of them are holidays.

I've already begun preparing for the wonderful seasons with our Christmas lights hung, DIY Christmas projects started and of course, I've been baking!

I love this changing of seasons, with the bare trees and chilly air. Even though I'm cold probably 78% of the time, I love it. Boots, scarves, thick socks and warm jackets are so much better than flip flops. It's no wonder I love living in the wonderful state of Minnesota!!!

A weekend that went too fast.

[ Painting the Kitchen ]

I am completely inspired today!
Thanks to Pinterest and my wonderful co-worker Lani,
who pinned this incredible kitchen.

I've been brainstorming for about 6 months on ways to update our kitchen. There's a lot of white and a lot of faded-looking green. I like both the colors, but feel overwhelmed by the lack of vibrance in the kitchen. I want inspiring colors, something that is exciting yet a good balance of warm. I think I've finally begun to paint a picture of what I want the kitchen to look like.

The top cabinets will be repainted white, they all need a good repainting anyhow. Then, I will do thin striped borders on each door with a rectangle of red and one of yellow.THEN the bottom cabnets will be painted the same yellow that is used above. THEN if I'm going all out, I might as well as that I'd love to have the back splash tiled. Not sure on the color yet, but I'm sure I'll find something!

Who wants to have a painting party?

[ Its Coming : Another Wedding ]

Oh Happy Day!!!!

these photos were non-discreetly stolen from my sister.

Just looked at that beauty. And yes, that is snow, from the
Rocky Mountains in the background. Excuse me while I swoon.
My beautiful sister and her new FIANCE got engaged over the weekend! I could not be more excited them as they begin this next step of their journey together. AND we get to plan another wedding!!!

I am so thankful for technology since they live up in Canada and we're 19 hours of driving away.  Not only did I get the official phone call, I also got to skype and see her beautiful face. Along with all of the other family that was there. I could almost feel the excitement through the phone. It was awesome.

So, congrats Casey & Mike.
You two are beautiful people and I am so excited for your future together!

[ Woodchucks Coulda Woulda Chuck ]

I recently got a new iPhone. I loved my andoird, but because apparently I had no idea what I was missing. It's faster, has my favorite board game (Ticket to Ride) in the app version AND you can ask it fun questions like:

"How much wood can a woodchuck
chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

AND you get an answer:

Yup, I love my iPhone.

[ Cinnamon Hearts ]

I really enjoy the Holidays, but considering it's only the beginning of October, I'm trying to hold myself back... I've only listened to Christmas music three times and haven't bought any Christmas decorations (despite them already being out in stores!). I did try a little DIY Pinterest idea that I want to put on my Christmas tree, but 'techincally' they could also be for Fall. So we'll just go with it, ok?

I found a DIY pin for these decorative hearts that only have 3 ingredients and are actually pretty easy to make! Here's what I do:

1.   Mix together 1 cup of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon cloves
and 1 cup of applesauce.
2.   Mix, mix and mix some more.
It needs to be completely mixed in.

3.   If your mixture seems really dry and crumbling,
add more applesauce.
If it seems really running, add more cinnamon.

4.   On a cutting board, sprinkle some cinnamon
and roll out your applesauce mixture until it's about 1/4 inch thick.

5.   Using whatever shapes you'd like,
cut out and lay on a cookie sheet.
(I used small hearts that I bought from Ikea)

6.    Using a small nail or skewer, poke a small hole
(for the string) to go through in each shape.

7.   I kept on re-rolling out my applsauce mixture until I used it all up.

8.   Bake your cutouts for 2 hours on 200*F.

* You want your shapes to be rock hard,
so I cooked mine for almost 3 hours then let them cool over night in the oven.

[ Falling into Fall ]

One of the many things I love about Minnesota are the different seasons.
These photos were taken less than 2 weeks ago
and already the ground is covered in leaves
and the trees have changes to beautiful golden and auburn colors.
The Hubs and I went for a walk last night with Remington
and the crunch of leaves was so wonderful! Fall is here!
