Day 6: Childhood Memory
I stole the green tomato. I did. I walked over to the tomato plant. Skipped the red tomatoes and went right for the small green ones. Did I mention I was three years old? Maybe, I could have been two and a half. I plucked those green tomatoes. I wasn't the only one who saw those green tomatoes though. Mom have an incredible way of seeing everything, even when you don't want them to. My wonderful mother noticed the missing tomatoes and confronted me. At three years old, do you know what I did? I lied. At three years old. Appalling. My mother has never let me forgotten my green tomato thief days.
